Boreen

This hat is modelled on an old Irish working hat.

This style was seen in the countryside at the turn of the century. Mainly used as a bog hat or heavy weather covering. It’s so designed that it can be pulled down over the head for greater protection.

Shauna Kennedy designed this hat as a walking or sporting head covering.

It is of 14oz tweed light to medium, with a floppy brim and an inch and a half banding all round. It has a loop to the band for a hackle or other sporting decoration. The crown of the hat is a separate section. The lining is of top quality and banded. It is of light green moss in colour. It has dark green and russet red and burgundy stripes.

This is a superb hat for a lady or gentleman.
